Salary: £23.63 per hour
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Shift Maintenance Fitter to join our client on a 12 month contract.
maintain uptime of the production equipment through both preventative and reactive maintenance. It is to progress key maintenance and production performance metrics over time through self-driven improvement initiatives and support of MT projects. And it is also to support the machine operation to ensure continuity of supply.
Key responsibilities:
Provide timely resolution of machine breakdowns across site.
Complete efficient product change over procedures.
Develop standards for changeovers with a view to seek improvement opportunities.
Carry out routine maintenance of production equipment and support systems across site.
Identify, prioritise, lead and contribute to improvement activity within maintenance and production, working closely with the MT group.
Support the maintenance improvement A3.
Develop standard work for maintenance activity.
Ensure high safety standards by developing and maintaining risk assessments.
Responsible for management of change (MOC) documentation.
Responsible for corrective action, preventative action (CAPA) task completion.
Develop solutions that prevent reoccurrence of faults.
Provide holiday and absence coverage for line operating in line with people movement meeting. Retain operating knowledge base.
Provide DR coverage for contractors (in future pending training).
Develop skills (i.e. PC literacy, data analysis, project management) and support initiatives such as PM Fiori, lean, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), etc.
Candidate skills:
Time served mechanical tradesperson with appropriate academic standards.
Proven history of being able to trouble shoot to root cause.
Ability to lead projects to successful implementation.
Ability to develop innovative solutions to fix faults to root cause.
Willingness to develop their skill set and incorporate new technology into their daily routine.
Computer literate, ability to efficiently use MS software and SAP.
Work under own initiative and minimal guidance.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Driven to make change for the better.Position to start ASAP
pay rate for this role is £23.63per hour.
This rate includes shift premium for working a 23-day rota for 12 months.
