Housekeeper / Cleaner

Working for a hospital located within Kettering you will be required to carry out routine cleaning tasks as instucted by and under supervision of the Facilities Housekeeping Co-ordinator and Housekeeping Supervisors to provide a clean and safe environment by ensuring the general cleanliness of patient and public areas in accordance with work schedules and policies.

Must have upto date DBS

Main Duties/Responsibilities

To maintain agreed cleaning standards in all areas
To clean floors, damp dust and clean furniture and fittings to the agreed standard
To clear spillages promptly in accordance with cross-infection procedures
To handle and remove waste, including clinical waste, using judgement to ensure that it disposed of correctly and safely in accordance with relevant policies and procedures
To undertake periodic maintenance, including carpet shampooing and curtain change
To use both manual and electronical appliances accordingly
To leave all equipment clean and tidy, ready for use
To dispose of rubbish and replenish bins in designated areas
To clean bays, toilets, bathrooms and kitchens in accordance with the agreed procedures and standards

Hours of work: Shifts available between the hours of 8am – 8pm

Salary: £26,000per year.
