Quality Manager – Tsi6949

Quality Manager required for a leading injection moulding company based in Lancashire. The right candidate must have a working knowledge of 8D and Continuous Improvement and will have practical understanding of Blow / injection moulding.

The Company:
My client are a specialise injection moulding company who manufacture predominantly for the automotive industry.

The Package:
Salary – £45,600- £40,000
Holidays â 25 days + statutory bank holidays.
Car allowance / company car.
Pension scheme offered (3% company contribution after qualifying period)

The Role:
⢠Managing 21 quality audit inspectors / engineers, leading by example, mentoring and dealing with any concerns.
⢠Development and implementation of the plant Quality Management System in the framework of ISO TS16949.
⢠Management and development of customer relations, ensuring regular liaison and business tools and are utilised to monitor and improve performance in parallel with customer reporting systems.
⢠Management of quality metrics on BOS and other company internal systems related to quality (e.g. ppm, Cost of poor Quality)
⢠Promote and drive problem solving within the plant utilising proven methodologies to implement, verify and validate permanent solutions to known concerns.
⢠Management of day to day quality concerns at the customer, Supplier and in plant in terms of quality performance.
⢠Integral part of plant launch team with responsibility for quality aspects.
⢠Develop Quality team and personnel needs in terms of skills and competencies required to meet business needs and continuously improve.

Requirements:
⢠The Quality Manager must have knowledge of Continuous Improvement and 8D.
⢠The Quality Manager must have knowledge of TS16949.
⢠The Quality Manager will preferably have knowledge of blow moulding / injection moulding or will have worked in a plastic based environment.
⢠The Quality Manager will have ideally implemented / maintained environmental quality standards (ISO14001).
