Electronics Engineer

Salary: £50,400 – £66,000 per year

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Electronics Engineer to join an international space company passionate about making the world a better place.

As Electronics Engineer you be part of a team developing equipment and sub-systems for multiple space missions.

As Electronics Engineer you w ill be designing large (and small), many-layer PCBs using ORCAD, primarily for analogue front-end systems for sensors but also digital and power electronics, together with

• Simulating analogue systems using SPICE models.
• Designing and implementing telemetry / telecommand (TM/TC) and data handling capacities for complex aerospace sensors.
• Designing to EMC and EMI requirements.
• Performing functional tests
• Troubleshooting hardware and software for space missions
• Developing innovative solutions to engineering requirements
• Preparing technical documentation including test procedures, design specifications and engineering change notices
• Designing Electronic Ground Support Equipment (EGSE)

To be considered for the role of Electronics Engineer you will:

• Have good level of education, ideally to BSc in electronics or relevant field
• Have previous commercial experience designing, manufacturing or testing electronics, ideally within the space industry
• Have excellent attention to detail
• Have ability to apply formal verification processes
• Have experience designing to standards (preferably ECSS)
• Have experience working to formal development procedures as part of a team
• Have experience of working within formal configuration control methods
• Ideally have knowledge/experience with ORCAD, SPICE, Embedded C, VHDL or Verilog
