Leading designer retail and wholesale business seeking a Web Developer to join the Ecommerce team head office in London.

The company is currently expanding its operations and this is a new role due to growth within the business.

Web Developer Summary:
• Reporting in to the ECommerce Platform and Project Manager, the Web Developer will help make design decisions that make a difference to the usability of the website and online products.
• Produce HTML / HTML5, CSS, JS components for the website
• Create technical specifications from functional specs
• Create engaging & highly functional web sites
• Responsive design for usability in PC, mobile & tablet Develop, prototype & optimize existing & new features
• Resolve cross-browser layout issues & bugs
• Adhere to web standards, usability & best practices
• Provide scoping & estimating for front-end development tasks Coding MVT / AB tests
• Propose UX improvements
• Working closely with the design and content teams

Web Developer Requirements:

• Experience in responsive web design
• Strong programming skills and logical approach to problem solving
• Advanced skills in HTML4/5 and CSS2/3, Javascript, JQuery Innovation, with a passion for fashion and retail
• Exceptional attention to detail and creative thinking Good commercial awareness
• Knowledge of best practices and usability and awareness of web standards
• Being able to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment with ability to turn a project around quickly with no loss of quality
• Ability to work on own initiative and self-motivation
• Good understanding of SEO
• Thorough understanding of the website functionality
• Ability to liaise with other departments at all levels
• Creative, self-motivated and enthusiastic Creative problem solver
