Salary: £54,000 per year

Unilink Software, a specialist provider of innovative software solutions for criminal justice sectors around the world, is looking for a talented UI/UX Designer to join our team on a remote basis (work from home).

The UX/UI Designer will be responsible for creating amazing user experiences. You should have an eye for usability, accessibility and clean artful design. You should also be able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts, and transform them into intuitive, and functional user interfaces.

Key Responsibilities:

* Understand business requirements to inform user experience

* Understand product specifications and user psychology

* Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to define and implement innovative solutions for the product

* Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks

* Determine information architecture and create sitemaps

* Create wireframes, hi-fidelity mocks and clickable prototypes

* Design accessible experiences and interfaces

* Create personas through user research and data

* Conduct usability testing as needed

* Evaluate user feedback from user testing

* Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables

* Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards

* Maintain required level of Security Clearance as part of continued employment.

* Make sure that quality processes are being followed and improved\amended where required.

* Learn and be aware of new and changing related technology.

Key Requirements:

* Proven UX and UI experience

* Demonstrable design skills with a strong portfolio

* Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and sitemaps

* Ability to present your solutions to various stakeholders

* Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively

* Up-to-date with the latest trends, techniques, and technologies

* A user-centric mindset

* Excellent attention to detail for UI Design

* Proficiency in Figma/Sketch, Zeplin, Whimsical, InVision and the Adobe Suite

* Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process

* Basic understanding of HTML & CSS

* Understanding WCAG and accessibility

* Desirable but not essential – Experience with Tree Testing

* Desirable but not essential – UI/UX copywriting – User friendly terminology and language usage on the product
