Proposals Engineer

Matchtech are currently looking for a proposals engineer, ideally with a mechanical/electrical background to join an expanding oil and gas company.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Within our petrochemical department you will work and gain experience within a company who established a first class reputation worldwide. The successful candidate will be working towards the design of heating equipment and associated control systems, and preparation of technical quotations. The company will provide technical product training as well as commercial terms awareness.

Target:

– Interpret client’s enquiry documents, prepare conceptual designs and draft formal tender responses to tight, customer specified deadlines

– Undertake on going technical clarifications, requested by the client, throughout the life of the tenders, if required attend bid clarification meetings within the UK and overseas, and support the Sales team through to successful order placement

– Obtain sub-vendor compliant quotations for bought out items and formulate accurate cost build-ups

– Review technical content of Purchase Orders and prepare accurate contract handover files for the projects office

Expectations:

-An engineering experience/ degree
-Previous experience working within Oil&Gas industry preferable
-Working knowledge of Pressure Vessels
-Working knowledge of Electrics desirable
