Do you come from a sales or proposals engineering background?

Are you looking for a role within the materials handling/ specialise purpose machinery background that offers variety and a technically interesting role?

In this role you will be heavily involved in several facets of the sales process – from contributing to project solutions and determining costings, to submitting the final proposal, all from the initial enquiry generated from either client based enquiries or working with the sales team on existing projects.

This company supply their equipment globally, so the requirements are varied and sometimes your role will see you work as part of project teams across multiple projects.

The ideal candidate will have an electrical or mechanical engineering background, have experience in materials handling or special purpose machinery, have experience on submitting propels and sales documentation.

The role:
*Create project solutions including design, costing and full proposal for installation/build
*Check BoM’s of existing products to ensure new designs and amendments are costed effectively and in line with current pricing structures
* Manage multiple proposals, ensuring project timelines are kept up to date for reporting to relevant stakeholders
* Highlight potential risks and resolutions for both internal and external stakeholders in a timely fashion
*Coordinate and hold review meetings with customers, senior management and other team members involved when required
*Accurately complete and submit bid/quotation documentation

The person

*Have an engineering qualification.
* 3-5 years in a project, product, technical sales or proposal engineering
*Experience with special purpose or materials handling industry.
*Experience in submitting proposals and sales documentation
*Have a mechanical or electrical engineering background.
