Accountant

Salary: £60,000 – £64,200 per year

An exciting career opportunity for a Qualified Accountant with strong works within (TAX), within a Global Leading Business that has been established for 200 + years.

The Accountant will be accountable for a wide variety of taxes, new registrations plus hands-on preparation of returns and information for advisors, accountable for managing the relationship with foreign branch tax advisors while supporting the finance manager with process improvement and projects.

Accountant responsibilities:

* Qualified OR Newly Qualified Accountant

* Foreign Branch Corporate Income Taxes

* VAT returns for the UK and multiple European registrations

* UK Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) VAT

* Set up new VAT registrations as needed

* Monthly Expense Analysis for Corporation Taxes

* Preparation of Annual Tax Advisor Information Packs

* Reconciliation of taxation accounts

* Annual Country by Country Reporting

* Annual Transfer Price Reporting

* Intrastat reporting

* Processing of Import Duty and Import VAT

* Support Finance Manager and Global Tax Director as required

* Cover for colleagues on a range of financial accounting tasks

* Corporation Tax and VAT work knowledge

* Experience in preparation and submission of VAT and Corporation tax returns

* Proficient in Microsoft

* Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Attention to detail and ability to deliver accurately to deadlines
