Salary: £31,200 – £37,200 per year
This Professional, Membership and Educational body are looking to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant – Finance Business Partner to assist with reporting and analysis for each department including monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts.
Reporting to the Finance Business Partner your daily duties will include:
- The production of timely monthly management accounts, providing a range of reports, appropriate to the users’ needs, including ad-hoc reports as requested
- Support budget holders to ensure full understanding of monthly management accounts so that information is easily understood by stakeholders and relevant to their needs
- Provide timely accurate financial information and advice to budget holders to allow effective management of their budgets
- Prepare and post journals for month end adjustments
- Assisting with the production of the Annual Budget and Forecast
- Ensure budget holders receive budget and forecast templates, establishment information and other documentation according to the deadlines set out in the budget and forecasting timetable
- Assist the Finance Business Partner in production of relevant schedules for the year end (e.g. income & expenditure breakdown, allocation of costs, etc) and update on a quarterly basis
The successful candidate will be an AAT qualified or ACCA/CIMA student looking to undertake their professional examinations. You must have experience of working in a management accounts function with exposure to the full financial cycle including accruals and prepayments and journal entries. You must have strong influencing skills whilst possessing first class written and verbal communication skills, with experience of working closely with key internal stakeholders.
For this role, it would be desirable if you have previously worked with in a not for profit, multi-currency environment. However, it is essential that you have excellent systems this includes an advanced user of Excel.
