Person Specification – STEM Teaching Assistant

The school are looking for an ambitious graduate who has worked with children in either a volunteer or paid role and will have earned a second class degree at the very least. The ideal new Teaching Assistant will have an unstoppable desire to teach and an unwavering ambition to start a career in education. You will be a Science or Maths Graduate who has the skills to convey hard to understand concepts and ideas in a direct, comprehensible way.

About the STEM Teaching Assistant role

As a STEM Teaching Assistant at this school you will be supporting STEM teaching across the whole school. You will be working with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to ensure that their individual needs are being met. Day-to-day, you will be understanding how to teach effectively by following CPD and training in essential skills and benefiting from the advice of you assigned mentor, who is also an accomplished Outstanding Teacher.
