I am looking for a Deputy Manager to work in well-established 6 bedded home for children with learning disabilities in the Kettering area of Northamptonshire.

In this role you will:

• Assist the Registered Manager in ensuring that the Home meets the standards and expectations of its Statement of Purpose
• Take charge of the home in the Manager’s absence
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of children
• Assist in the establishing and maintenance of a competent, motivated and confident staff team
• Offer leadership, managerial direction, guidance and support to the staff team
• Liaise with Local Authorities, School, Health and other professionals to achieve best outcomes for young people

For this role you must have:

• Level 3 (or equivalent) in Health and Social Care
• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• The ability lead a team
• The ability to work varying shifts, which include early morning and late evening work. This will include weekends as part of a rota and Bank Holidays
• The ability to be part of an on-call rota system
