Technical Sales Support Engineer – Permanent – £40K + benefits

Haverhill – 37.5 hour week

We are recruiting for an experienced Technical Sales Support Engineer with key technical skills on behalf of our client based in Haverhill. Technical Sales Support Engineer Duties:

• Champion all product solutions
• Be responsible for managing the introduction of products from inception, through field trial, production release, to the first installation
• Manage, mentor, and support our Solutions Technician, provide technical product assistance to the service support manager, and offer product training to our staff
• Liaise with our supply partners, clients, and Sales team, providing first line Technical Sales and Demonstration Support for products
• Assist with configuration and validation of products including the creation of validation test plans, trial documents, and training materials
• Manage product pilots, product change requests, and support major roll-outs
• Attend Product Quality Reviews to report on problems and produce corrective action plans
• Provide commercial comparisons on competitor products to Marketing, Sales, and Technical teams
• Participate in the definition of new product requirements, taking responsibility for the introduction of products to the Sales team as part of the product introduction process.
• Work with the Marketing team to ensure that marketing services are available as required to support new product introductions, trials, and Sales activity
• Maintain your technical training and knowledge to ensure thought leadership

Education, Experience & Skills

• Degree in Technical subject 2.1 or above, electronics, computing or mechanical
• 1 year working as a product specialist or production engineer
• Experience in working with IT-connected equipment
• Experience in working with ISO framework
• Technical training
• Full current driving license

You will be working on-site most of the time, but there will be some hybrid working.
