Electronics Engineer

Our client is a specialist provider of systems, equipment and consultancy services to the UK Defence industry and other critical systems sectors.

We are currently seeking an Electronics Engineer to join a multi-disciplined team based at their North Devon site.

Responsibilities of the role will include:

– to take responsibility for the Electrical/Electronic elements of a variety of electromechanical systems
– design of equipment cabinets and/or circuit cards using both analogue and digital electronics
– progressing prototype designs through to manufacture
– liaison with suppliers in the selection of components and sub-contractors in the layout and build of PCB’s
– completion of manufacturing support documentation

Skills and experience sought include:

– Experience of instruments, communications / ethernet, digital, analogue and power electronics
– experience in design for manufacture, use of tools such as Solidworks Electrical
– experience of developing systems tests, to undertake system verification and validation against design requirements
– familiar with systems engineering tools e.g. DOORS
– candidates should hold full UK driving license and be capable of obtaining UK security clearance
