Salary: £48,000 – £60,000 per year
Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Medical Devices – Hybrid Working – Oxfordshire – £40K – £50K
My client specialises in developing innovative medical devices in the Oxfordshire area. Due to continued success, they are looking for a senior mechanical engineer to join the team.
Main Duties:
+ Develop and refine features, components, and assemblies in 3D CAD (SolidWorks)
+ Review, justify and perform analysis of design integrity through analytical methods and laboratory testing
+ Interacting and communicating effectively within project teams in both support, and design lead roles
+ Generating new and revised 2D detailed engineering drawings to a high standard with consideration given to manufacturing tolerances, measurement, and controlling design intent
Skills and experience required:
+ At least 5 years design experience within a medical or similarly regulated environment
+ Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD (Solidworks ideal)
+ Experienced in leading design projects
+ Proficient in GD&T
+ CAE or FEA experience (Abaqus) would be highly desirable
The salary will be between £48,000 – £60,000, with the company able to offer more for exceptional candidates, the company are also offering hybrid working, an annual bonus scheme, and a holiday purchase scheme.
