The Roles:

We are currently recruiting for TWO positions within a thriving manufacturing hub; an experienced Flexographic Printer and an experienced Digital Printer. Joining a busy and collaborative team based in Newport, you will be responsible for the printing of high-quality labels using a variety of techniques. You will efficiently operate the respective printers, ensuring high-quality output targets are achieved. We are looking for Printers with an excellent eye for detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain the highest levels or accuracy at all times.

Responsibilities:

• Running multi-colour Flexo presses, producing high quality labels with a variety of finishes, including Silk screen/Cold foiling/Peel to read/Laminating/Leaflets (Flexographic Printer).
• Setting up, operating and maintaining the new HP 6900 digital printer (Digital Printer).
• Ensuring that the area, equipment and machinery are kept clean and tidy and in accordance with the relevant procedures during shift.

• Troubleshooting issues with the printing press or print quality.
• Responsible for ensuring that all products made and all quality checks are carried out in accordance with laid down quality and standard operating procedures.
• Liaising with reprographics, quality and finishing departments to ensure output is of the highest possible standard.
• Ensuring that all Health, Safety and Environmental Policies relating to your work area are adhered to at all times.
• Carry out basic maintenance in accordance with standard procedures

Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

• Flexographic / Digital Printing Experience.
• Experienced in Labels or Packaging industry (desirable, though not essential).
• High levels of accuracy.
• Able to differentiate colours, to read and check small copy.
