Salary: £32,854 per year

Class 1 MOT DRIVER/MECHANIC/YARD PERSON

£11.70 per hour + O/T rate of £17.56 per hour

(£32,853.6.00 BASIC per annum + c5K O/T per annum)

You must only apply if you hold a CLASS 1 (C+E) HGV License and previous HGV Mechanical experience – within the last 5 years!

We are searching for Motivated, Reliable and Hard-Working Class 1 HGV Driver who also possesses HGV mechanical skills. You will be based from our client’s depot at Widnes and your primary responsibility will be to take HGV’s to the MOT Test Centre and back and in periods where you are not on the road you will be responsible for making general ‘light repairs’ to Scania HGVs in the workshop and dealing with minor running repairs to vehicles such as: changing bulbs, repairing wiring and replacing wiper blades whilst at the test centre to enable a high-pass rate is achieved as standard. As well as this you will also be responsible for keeping both the Yard and Workshop clean and tidy whilst observing all H&S regulations.

Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday 07:00 -16:30

Occasional Saturday mornings in busy periods 08:00 – 12:00 at time and a half (£17.56 p/h)

Approx. 5 hours overtime (none compulsory) is available each week at time and a half (£17.56 p/h)
