Occupational Competency: Adult /Elderly Health & Social Care
Candidates MUST have previous experience with the Adult/Elderly Health & Social Care Sector and be qualified to Level 3 or above.
This position is Peripatetic – travelling around Adult/Elderly Residential Nursing Homes assessing learners in the work place.
To assess and guide learner’s performance and knowledge against relevant framework including Functional Skills within Adult / Elderly Health & Social Care apprenticeships to achieve high quality qualifications within the appropriate timescale.

Fab Recruitment are currently looking to recruit a QCF (NVQ) Assessor for a leading private training provider.
You will support and assess learners working towards their qualifications in Adult/Elderly Health & Social Care, ensuring that the learners meet all the occupational standards needed to achieve the qualification.
You will be required to;
• Observe and assess candidates in their workplace
• examining candidates’ portfolios of evidence
• questioning candidates about how they would deal with non-standard situations
• providing feedback and offering advice if the standards are not met
• signing off the award when all the requirements have been met
• keeping records of candidates’ progress
• attending standardisation meetings with other assessors / team leaders
• working closely with training staff and learners managers
• Realistic caseload of 35 – 38 learners
Qualifications and Experience required;
• Level 3 Diploma in competence areas– OR Equivalent
• Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment
• Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement
• Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement
• OR Previous Assessor Qualifications A1 / A2 / D32 / D33
• Knowledge and experience of delivering the apprenticeship frameworks is advantageous but not essential.
Applicants must have previous experience of managing a caseload of learners and have an Adult/Elderly residential care background.
