We are working with an established ingredients manufacturer who supply all the major retailers with own label and branded products and are looking to recruit for an experienced Specifications Technologist to join their dynamic team. The role will offer genuine prospects and career

The Specifications Technologist will have the responsibility for a multitude of key tasks such as:

• Completion of retail web based specifications in the agreed timeframe
• Creation of product quality attribute sheets
• Review and approve specifications for raw materials and packaging
• Checking and approval of new/revised artwork
• Dealing with all customer enquiries
• Maintaining information spreadsheets
• Keep up to date with legal requirements
• General administration
• Deputise for other members of the quality team
• Perform internal auditing
• Issuing and processing of approved supplier pack
• Assist the brand managers and NPD Manager where necessary

The successful candidate will ideally have a Food Science or Food Technology degree or similar industry qualification with minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role and an understanding of Nutritian, Food Labelling, Microbiologhy, HACCP, Quality Systems, Packaging and Allergen Control.
