Laboratory Procurement, Dispatch, Support and Stores Officer
PERM 4-5 days per week
Oxfordshire
Our client is seeking a Laboratory Procurement, Dispatch, Support and Stores Officer to work 4-5 days per week. The job will involve purchasing and dispatch of molecular biology/pathology equipment and consumables to agricultural plant research projects in Africa and India. You will be responsible for ordering equipment and consumables, maintaining stock records, testing laboratory protocols, maintaining the store facility and being responsible for Health and Safety activities and dangerous goods. Store and dispatch duties include receipt of goods, inspection of products, picking and packing of laboratory equipment and general stores housekeeping.
The ideal candidate will have a background in laboratory research, preferably molecular biology. Good IT skills, some procurement experience and have the ability to be flexible and able to multi-task.
You will be familiar with databases and/or finance packages and have proven administration experience.
This is a good opportunity for someone with lab experience wanting a position ‘a little different’ away from the laboratory environment.
