Job title: Materials Controller
Job location: Ramsgate, Kent
Hourly pay rate: £21.6Ltd per hour
Shifts: Mornings and Afternoons
Hours per week: 40hours (Monday – Friday)
Duration: Temporary to Permanent
Industries considered: Rolling Stock, Warehouse, Automotive, and Aerospace
Disciplines considered: Materials Controller, Stores, and Materials Scheduler

Client Summary:

Our Client is currently looking for a Materials Controller, preferably with previous experience including customer facing to operate in a busy engineering environment.

Position Summary:

The tasks will include –

*Material control
*SAP knowledge
*Dealing with planned and unplanned material availability
*Adhoc ordering for unplanned materials due to damage and vandalism
*Set up regular stock counts
*Checking current stock levels
*Dealing with internal, external customers and clients
* Good knowledge of material supply is essential.
* Competent in excel/word software packages.
* Knowledge of SAP advantageous.
* Knowledge of Maximo advantageous.
* Good organisational and communication skills.
* Previous experience of QHSE environment.
* Stock control and rotation.
* Excellent communication skills.
* The ability to prioritise tasks.
* The ability to work within tight deadlines and targets.
* Forklift experience advantageous (Counter Balance).
* Be flexible to work shifts (days and nights)

*Must be self-motivated
*Driven
*Very Good Communicator

Background:

*Good engineering background and understanding of parts
*Very good stores background
*Very good telephone manner
*Well presented
