The Company
Our client, a market leading beauty brand is looking for a PR Assistant to joint their team based in North West London. The company has a portfolio of different brands, whilst also working closely with a variety of high street retailers such as Boots, John Lewis, House of Fraser, Tesco and Debenhams. They are continuously competing with large multinationals by producing exciting and innovative beauty products. The company also operates in multiple locations internationally – in 2013 they set up a New York office.
The Role – PR Assistant
The PR Assistant will be working within the company’s PR and Marketing department, generating PR coverage across their portfolio of brands. The PR assistant will be expected to establish strong relationships with journalists and bloggers within the beauty industry whilst also handling media enquiries quickly and effectively. They will also be expected to pitch products and stories in order generate press coverage. The PR Assistant will also be expected to analyse and report on PR coverage as well as ensuring that media contact lists are updated.
The PR Assistant should have the following skillset:
* At least one year’s experience of working in Consumer PR
* A genuine passion for the beauty industry
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to sell-in products, concepts and ideas to the press
* Experience of working in a fast paced and creative organisation
* Highly creative and pro-active
