Home-Based Live Notetaker

Salary: £16.8 – £30 per hour

We are recruiting for home-based notetakers. Notetakers are professional typists who take near-verbatim notes from a live meeting or recording. 

We provide our clients with live notetakers for hundreds of meetings and focus groups per month across the UK, the majority of which are held online. We’ll tell you the slots we need to fill, and you can put yourself forward for the ones that work with your availability. 

If you’re an excellent listener with an accurate typing speed of more than 80wpm, this could be the role for you! 

Step 1 – Complete your application 

• Enter your contact details and typing speed so we can send you a short grammar test. 

Step 2 – Chat with the team 

• If successful, you’ll be invited to an informal online interview where we’ll talk you through the process and ask you to do a live practice test. 

Step 3 – Sign up for your first booking! 

• Let us know which bookings you’re available for – we’ll send you all the relevant guidance and will be available to help with any issues on the day. 

Sign up for our New Notetaker Bonus Scheme! If you take on 25 bookings in your first 30 days, there’ll be a starting bonus of up to £200 in it for you, paid at the end of the month you complete your 25th booking. The more you do, the quicker you’ll become and the easier you’ll start to find notetaking, so this is a great way to kickstart your typing career!

As you gain experience, you will be able to take on more specialised bookings and branch out into minutetaking or proofreading. We are always looking to develop from within – most of the office team also started out as transcribers and notetakers – so there may also be opportunities to join the team as a freelance or full-time coordinator.
