Salary: £26,000 per year

Our client is looking for a Customer Service Advisor to join their team at their Company’s Head Office.

The primary objective of the role is to process orders received by telephone, fax, post, and e-mail.

Other duties will include dealing with inquiries and complaints to satisfactory completion, contacting smaller accounts and updating them on new products, providing standard quotes, actioning requests from the external sales team and ensuring the Showroom and both Meeting Rooms are adequately stocked with Price lists, etc.

The successful candidate will be numerate, accurate and organised, have a pleasant and confident telephone manner and be able to meet deadlines and targets.

Previous experience of a busy office environment and the understanding of the importance of teamwork is a key requirement.

Primary Objectives of a Customer Service Advisor

* Receipt and processing of orders via fax, phone, post and email.

* Dealing with enquiries and complaints through to satisfactory completion.

* Tele-care. Regular contact with smaller accounts for the purpose of updating on new products etc.

* General office duties including filing, faxing and photocopying etc.

* Provide standard quotes

* Actioning emails and verbal action requests from the External Sales Team.

* Oversee the Showroom and Meeting Rooms daily to ensure they are stocked with Fabric Books and Price Lists.

Specific Responsibilities of a Customer Service Advisor

* Processing customer orders in time-received order, accurately and promptly, ensuring a smooth order flow to the Stores and despatch departments.

* Informing customers of any delays due to out of stock or other problems.

* Handling customer complaints, ensuring good customer services at all times. Arranging collections from customers via the carrier company and replacement orders where necessary.

* Liaising with Area Sales Managers to inform them of any relevant customer details, booking Area Sales Managers appointment / schedules.

* Regularly telephoning a specific list of customers with updated information and logging the calls made for assessment purposes.

General Duties

* Your work place and working area must be kept clean and tidy and all paperwork filed accordingly. You must adhere to the Company’s Health and Safety standards as defined in the Health and Safety Policy.

* Perform within the requirements of your position and maintain the Company’s Quality Procedures.

* Carry out any other duties when required. This may involve working in other departments/offices.

Hours of Work: 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

Hours of work may vary slightly according to the workload of the Company.

Qualifications / Skills Required

* Strong product knowledge (To be gained in induction training)

* Good communication skills/telephone manner.

* Computer Literate.

* Numerate, accurate and organised

* Ability to meet deadlines and targets

* General office background.

* Be able to work as part of a team

Pay Type – Monthly (mainly in arrears /advanced)

Working hours: 9am to 5pm (35 hours per week)

28 days holiday inc. stat, rising by 1 day over 5 years after completion of holiday calendar year increasing to a max of 33 days inc statutory.

3 month probationary period following which
