Our client are a leading player in the equipment and vehicle rental sector

We are recruiting a Fleet Service Manager who will oversee the maintenance and repair operation across a fleet of mostly Vans & Light Commercial Vehicles.

The Role

• Oversee and manage the vehicle workshop to ensure the fleet is maintained to a high standard
• Coordinate priority work flow in line with business and customer requirements
• Ensure workshop is run efficiently
• Manage team performance, providing support when required and developing apprentices
• Ensure vehicles are repaired to a high standard, including MOT / PSV prep
• Organise and work closely with stores & parts department to ensure work can be done on time
• Work towards key targets and report on performance, working with Senior Management to achieve objectives
• Encourage a positive working environment reflecting company values
• Ensure Health & Safety policies are followed, promoting a safe workshop environment

What we are looking for:

• Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicles, ideally Vans or Commercial
• Experience managing a vehicle workshop such as Workshop Manager or Service Manager
• Experience managing a team effectively in a technical workshop setting
• Can communicate well at various levels across the business
• IT proficient
• Full and valid driving license
