Not only do we manufacture each of our products in a dedicated facility located in the UK, we also formulate, design, and manufacture aftercare solutions for a wide range of private label partners and other brands; we specialise in the protection of clothing, equipment, sportswear, and footwear. Job description
Grangers International Ltd manufacture footwear and performance apparel related chemicals.
An opportunity has arisen within our laboratory department based in our headquarters at Chesterfield, adjacent to junction 29a of the M1. Duties will include:
* Testing of, production batches and finished product, incoming raw materials and factored goods,all in accordance with company quality standards
* Product development and new product formulation across a wide range of aftercare products and household goods
* Adhere to good health and safety practices, PPE etc
* Create SOP’s and implement them across production
* IT skills, excel, data collection, lab reports etc.
* Written and verbal communication with end-use customers and suppliers
* Support the company adherence to ISO 9001 management standard, IS 14001 and other accreditations
* Provide technical support to customers, retailers, colleagues and industry contacts.
Candidate
* Science /engineering related degree, or prior experience of working within chemical/quality assurance environment.
* Excellent communication skills as ability to interpret technical information and convey it to a wide audience is vitally important.
* Attention to detail and enthusiasm to learn are essential.
* This can be a hands on role, where you may need to get your hands dirty.
* Good Time management skills – ability to prioritise tasks
* Speaking to, and working with all areas of factory, production sales purchasing etc
* Desire to adapt and improve systems
Salary: £26,000 – £30,000per yeardepending on experience
Holidays 25 + bank holidays
Training will be provided
Hours 9am-5pm, they may be open to being somewhat flexible in the future (e.g. 8-4) but not guaranteed
