Salary: £28.8 – £31.2 per hour

Gas Compressor Technician – Full Time – Ellon, United Kingdom

Come and join Sulzer Services UK in Ellon, Aberdeenshire as our Gas Compressor Technician. If you are highly motivated, organised, and have a keen eye for detail with a technical background in engineering you can help us take Sulzer Service UK to the next level. 

In this role you will be accountable for:

  • Assisting the Turbo Service manager with creation of workpacks and inspection templates
  • Dismantle and record dimensional findings
  • Liaise with Technical Quality department during report compilation and advise repair requirements
  • Repair of components for fitting of dry gas seals, wet seals, fitting of labyrinth rings, pressure testing, and dynamic balancing 
  • Reclamation of gas compression components to enable safe re-use
  • Assembly of basic compressor and complex compressor types in line with the inspection report and work instructions

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • NC/City & Guild Mechanical Qualification or VQ Level 3 Mechanical Qualification
  • Experience of working with OEM compressor equipment is essential
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to change 
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Knowledge of health and safety requirements
