Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

This is a great opportunity to join this established Food Processing company as a Multi Skilled Engineer. You will be involved with a range of duties including maintenance, PPM, continuous improvement of plant and any new projects as and when they arise.

As Maintenance Engineer you will be working as part of an established maintenance team within a busy FMCG/Food environment providing breakdown, PPM Maintenance, continuous improvement and assistance with new installation projects around the facility. The position will involve maintaining a range of food manufacturing equipment which includes, high speed conveyors, cooking equipment, packaging systems, palletisers and more.

The Person
For the role will need to have come from a Fast Moving Consumer Goods/Food background, be comfortable working as part of a team but be equally able to work on your own. You will need to have relevant engineering qualifications with a recognised apprenticeship. Skill sets will include good knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics systems, the ability to change motors, gearboxes, seals and strip down and rebuild machinery when necessary. Excellent electrical skills sets that will need to include isolation of motors, drives, inverters and the ability to fault find using PLC based systems.

The shift pattern for this role will be 3on/2off/2on/3off rotating on days and nights doing 6-6 respectively. In return the client offers a salary in the region of £38,400 – £40,800with great overtime earnings potential.
