Salary: £29,952 per year

Community Manager with exceptional communication skills required at our Fabulous Retirement Development in Sherborne.

The key purpose of the role is to support and grow vibrant, engaging communities, which enhance our residents’ lives. Our Community Managers will have full responsibility for developing strong, trustworthy relationships with residents, their families, and forging strong links and partnerships within the community.

As our Community Manager you will also organise and deliver high quality events and a vibrant social calendar of wellbeing activities, forging strong links with a variety of stakeholders from the local community promoting Platinum Skies at every opportunity. You will also be focused on encouraging and introducing prospective customers to Platinum Skies communities. Having full operational responsibility for the development, you will ensure that robust procedures are in place to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all residents.

Main Duties/Skills:

Ability to forge strong partnerships with local stakeholders adding clear value to the Platinum Skies proposition.
Effectively manage all customer feedback including complaints, ensuring that service improvements are introduced, improving in line with feedback received.
Working closely with Sales Progression Managers, organise care solutions for residents based on their personal needs.
Carry out new home demonstrations with customers, sales and construction prior to the customer moving in.
To coordinate the distribution of annual service charges and billing, ensuring residents are informed of changes and feedback is fed back into the Customer Services Manager
Facilitate and support opportunities to listen to our residents’ feedback, creating forums to ensure a two-way conversation exists for all. Understand and tailor experiences for our residents.
Coordinate the Resident’s Association, and resident focus groups, ensuring they are operated effectively.
Hosting the AGM (Annual General Meeting) for residents, ensuring actions are taken, completed and fed back to the Chair of the Residents Association.
Support our sales to communicate and engage with prospective residents.
Promote good communication relationships between residents and their families, Platinum Skies and our partners and suppliers.
Working closely with the Facilities Management Team, housekeeping to ensure building safe and clean.
Work closely with the Head of Procurement & Hospitality Management to ensure the bistro and buildings are run cost effectively and kept clean.
Setting up events and activities and working with other Community Managers as well as residents and their families
Arranging the Annual General Meetings (AGM) to discuss the previous years’ accounts and set the service charge for the forthcoming year with Finance, minuting the meeting and making sure actions are carried out.
Monthly reporting to management and constantly providing insight gathered from the residents on service improvements or areas we can improve on. About you:
will have worked in a customer facing role, or within the caring profession, preferably in Estate management, Client Services or similar and offer good communication skills. You will have knowledge of the local area and will need to be empathetic and understanding.
To support the organization of events and administer the maintenance of the site, you must be computer literate with previous experience of using outlook and Excel.

Hours and Requirements:
This is a Full-time position (35 hours); hours of work are Monday to Friday, and every other Saturday 9am – 5pm with one-hour unpaid break.
Weekend or any occasional evening work will be given back as time in lieu.
