Salary: £39,600 – £44,400 per year
Mechanical Design Engineer with 3D CAD (Solid Edge / Solidworks) is required on a permanent employment basis in the South Bristol area (commutable from the likes of Clevedon, Bath, Taunton, Newport, Cardiff, Avon, Somerset, South Wales etc) working for a high-technology scientific equipment design and manufacturing business who supply systems used in research, nanotechnology, and semiconductor processing environments.
Your role as the Mechanical Design Engineer will initially be involved with modification design on the portfolio of existing products before migrating towards NPD (New Product Development) projects.
To be considered you will need to be a competent use of 3D mechanical CAD (Solid Edge or Solidworks preferred) and be familiar with designing for castings, sheet metal and machined components. Your experience should ideally cover the designing for special purpose equipment or scientific instrumentation.
It will be an added bonus if you have had any prior working with any of the following: vacuum technology, pressure vessels, plasma processing, or semiconductor processing equipment, or similar.
