Bordereaux and Credit Control Assistant
Location: Haywards Heath
Salary: £26,000per year + benefits
The role
You will work in the Bordereaux & Credit Control team within the Finance Operations Department for the Insurance group. You’ll be responsible for producing and signing out accurate client bordereaux reports and ensuring that payment is received and reconciled within agreed SLAs.
Assist in the continual development and population of management reports on behalf of your clients
Take ownership of issues raised by your client base and resolve same within agreed SLAs. Proactively look for solutions, including ways to work around the issue while longer term solutions are implemented.
Responsibilities
Produce accurate Bordereaux reports
Reconciliation of Floats held
Manage the invoicing and statement process for assigned areas if sales ledger
Manage the collection of payments using a variety of methods including direct debits, bank transfer, cheques and cards
Manage relevant debtor books with an understanding of all debt on the book
Manage the invoicing and statement process for relevant areas of sales ledger
Journaling/allocating payments and reconciling accurately related debtor accounts
Target led credit control collection
Resolving queries by telephone, e-mail, letter
Make recommendations for process improvements on a continual basis
Completing and reviewing documentation of processes to ISO standard
Assist in the creation of management reports on a periodic basis from financial systems and manipulating where necessary in excelRequirements
Good communication skills
Strong Excel and SAP systems skills
Experience of the general insurance industry will be ideal
Understanding and have practical experience of financial, operational and business processes
Experienced in using assistance and insurance based platforms
Ability to work proactively, positively, efficiently and effectively
Ability to build strong working relationships with other business teams
Good attention to detail
