Litigation Solicitor

Location: Gloucestershire

Salary: Commensurate with Experience

This award winning and growing Gloucestershire Law Firm are looking to recruit a Litigation Solicitor with experience of handling Employment and Landlord/Tenant, Commercial Litigation, Property Disputes, Contract Disputes and Negligence. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced solicitor to join this successful team where you will be given full responsibility for handling a caseload of high value and technical Employment claims, with the opportunity to work in other areas of litigation as the need arises.

This is a great opportunity for an ambitious solicitor who would like to be given full responsibility for a challenging caseload of work. The team have gone from strength to strength over the last few years and they now can offer full administrative support, an excellent client base, increasing levels of work, autonomy and an academic challenge.

Qualified solicitors with litigation experience are preferred, however, newly qualified solicitors with a general litigation background or solicitors looking to specialise in litigation work with a focus on employment will also be considered.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Law degree or equivalent
· Qualified Solicitor
· Good knowledge and experience primarily in employment law with the ability to handle other aspects of civil litigation work such as landlord/tenant, commercial litigation, property disputes, contract disputes and negligence. In addition, a good awareness of a commercial and common sense approach to cases and fee earning.
· A confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills including tact and sensitivity
· Experience of and the ability to establish, maintain and expand positive relationships with a wide range of individuals, including company commercial clients
· The ability to communicate complex legal issues, face-to-face and the written word in a clear and appropriate level
· Ability to work calmly under pressure, to prioritise and to meet deadlines
· Takes responsibility for their own caseload subject to supervision
· Works to understand the department’s key clients, the industry they operate in and the challenges they face
· Willing to make a proactive contribution and be commercially aware and profit focussed
