Salary: £30,000 – £36,000 per year
We are currently looking for a Method Development Analyst to join a leading Nutritional and Pharmaceutical ingredients company based in the Hertfordshire area. As the Method Development Analyst you will be responsible for developing analytical methods for testing of raw materials and intermediate stage products.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Method Development Analyst will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as following:
1. You will provide expertise to develop analytical methods for the analysis of raw materials and APIs within the organisation’s analytical laboratory.
2. You will be responsible for ensuring that methods are developed in line with quality standards and customer expectations. This will involve maintaining contact with the R&D and QC departments, as well as keeping up to date with ICH and GMP standards.
3. Additional responsibilities will include writing and reviewing SOPs, supervising more junior staff and interpreting technical documents.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Method Development Analyst we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. You will be at least degree qualified in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline e.g. Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry etc.
2. It is essential that you have previous industry experience related to development and validation of analytical methods within the Pharmaceutical industry.
3. In addition you will have a working knowledge of analytical techniques including HPLC, GC, MS and Wet Chemistry techniques. You will also have experience under GMP and ideally Lean / Six Sigma knowledge.
