THE COMPANY

A multinational firm which has operations within 50 countries, employ 2000+ people, an enviable turnover of £330+ million and are on-par with the world biggest players within automated distribution providers are looking for a Maintenance Engineer.

They are experts in providing automated warehouses, distribution centres, food & beverage, e-commerce, automotive OEM’s, and pharmaceutical firms a full turnkey package which includes all machinery (conveyors, automatic cranes/ aisle cranes and robotics), all controls equipment and, if necessary a team of resident site Maintenance Engineers who are solely responsible for the equipment on site.

Tilbury includes;

* Materials handling Fork lift trucks
* Roller and chain conveyors

* x2 robots with vacuum systems
* x7 30m, double depth, single mast cranes

THE ROLE

You will be responsible for PPM and reactive maintenance tasks on a variety of equipment which includes – Materials handling Fork lift trucks, Roller and chain conveyors, x2 robots with vacuum systems and x7 30m, double depth, single mast cranes

PPM and mechanical tasks – this focuses on oiling, greasing, stripping, removing and replacing worn and broken parts, retensioing chains, replacing rollers, sprockets, chains, ropes etc.

Electrically – You will be responsible for reading electrical drawings and using a multi meter to fault find on machinery and within panels to diagnose faults on contactors, relays and wiring etc.

PLC tasks – Checking I/O

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

* Electrically biased with a supporting qualification.
* Commutable to Tilbury Docks
* Backgrounds could be – Automated distribution, automation, automotive, distribution, FMCG, pharmaceutical, food, or X forces with civilian experience within the any of the above sectors.
* Electrically – Ability to read an electrical drawings and FF with a multimeter
* Mechanical – remove and replace sprockets, bearings, gearboxes etc.
* PLC – check I/O
