Back-End Developers

Valorous Ltd is the parent group company of various fashion divisions with a strong online presence. We have strong contracted partnerships with eBay, and in a very powerful position to move forward. We grow from strength to strength and the missing piece of the puzzle is a back-end developer.

This is an exciting opportunity for two back-end developers to join a rapidly growing corporation that covers all aspects of fashion: brand distribution, online sales, flash sales and clearance channels. The role has excellent prospects, hard working environment but with great rewards. We work hard and play hard.

The role has been created as it is now important for us to build our own in-house team who can take our businesses to the next level. The back-developers will be an integral part of our organisation, working alongside an advanced in-house front-end developer.

The Role

We are looking for two experienced PHP developer to join our in-house team. We are about to undertake a new project where the successful candidates will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of a custom e-commerce store.

We are offering a full time position and a temporary position for the right candidates. When applying please define which position you are applying for.

Skills & experience

• High level of experience with at least one PHP MVC framework
• Working knowledge of an e-commerce system (magento, opencart)
• Strong SQL (MySQL) skills including database schema design
• Basic HTML, CSS and JavaScript skills
• Testing
• Knowledge of PHP and MYSQL performance is highly desirable.
• Apache/ PHP configuration (desirable)
• Experience with Git or other version control system.
• Project planning experience
• iOS/Android development is a huge PLUS!

The candidates must have the ability to write clean, maintainable code and have great communication skills as they will be working closely with others. Examples of previous work must be provided. A github account would be ideal.
