Salary: £60,000 – £78,000 per year
* My Client is a leading, well respected independent firm of accountants and business advisers..
* This role reports to a director and carries responsibility for staff including both qualifieds,studiers and QBEs
The Role of Accounts Manager
* Lead the Accounts division
* Set up procedures to ensure that clients needs are met as efficiently as possible – work with the Business Tax service line manager to ensure system consistency where possible and appropriate
* Undertaking a review of the Accounts tracker system and ensuring it is properly maintained, providing regular reports on the progression of work to all stakeholders to ensure that resources match the needs and to take the appropriate action so that ultimately the team meets its time deadlines.
* Ensure the firms’ billing procedures are followed
* Ensure that chargeable time targets are appropriate and can be met, manage staff and workloads
* Use the review, communication and management information process to maintain a regular performance evaluation of team members
* Allocating clients to managers through the client take on process, monitoring staff workloads
* Assist the Head of Business in developing strong lines of communication with other Service Line Managers
The Candidate for Accounts Manager
Experienced people manager
A minimum ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification
* The ability to manage a team of people
* Excellent client relationship skills
