Homelessness Prevention Officer

About the role
* Assess homeless applications within Part VII of the Housing Act 1996 including cases for acceptance, refusal or referral to other authorities
* Homelessness case management up to and including issuing s184 decision notices
* Keep up to date with legislation, case law, best practice and council policies and procedures and initiatives
* Interview and complete housing needs assessments by exploring all options to prevent homelessness
* Assessing claims under the 1996 and 2002 Homelessness Acts and the Localism Act 2011
