An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Software Test Engineer within a well-known company located in Bristol.

Salary £30,000 – £36,000

Excellent Company Benefits package including life assurance policy of 4 times annual salary
Contractual hours: 37.5 per week and flexibility in start and finish time
Core hours: 09.30 – 16.00 Mon – Thurs and 09.30 – 13.00 Fri

Reporting structure – Divisional Test Manager

Role:

The purpose of the role shall be, as required to perform test, integration and acceptance activities for Software systems to be delivered to customers.
The post holder shall work with project teams to develop and implement effective testing strategies to enable the effective and reliable delivery to satisfy the customer’s requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Define and agree testing strategies
Define and manage project test environments, both physical and virtual
Planning, develop and documentation of test cases
Execute of test cases
Producing formal acceptance events, both on-site and at customer premises
Manage reporting and clearing of defects
Bid and enquiry support

Knowledge Required:

Ideally 2 years or more of Automated and manual software unit test techniques and methodologies for large scale, integrated software systems including web applications, RIA’s, database systems and middleware.

Be prepared to have a security Clearance check carried out.
