Domestic Electrician

An electrical contractor servicing the needs of many private and social housing contracts around the Luton area, covering reactive maintenance and planned works covering domestic properties, has a key requirement for a Domestic Electrician

For the chosen Electrician this is a temp to perm position

Job Responsibility

* Carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance on social housing contracts

* Electrical domestic fault finding

* Electrical Install work

* Installing new domestic electrical circuits

* Testing domestic electrical wiring for fault and verification after installations

* Be part of the Out of Hours (OOH) standby cover responding to customer emergencies

* Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor

Preferred Skills

Competent electricians with experience in the social housing sector. As an Electrician you must have experience with installation of rewiring of domestic premises in accordance to 17th edition and testing of works on completion.

* Rates of up to £15.50p/h with a van and fuel card provided on Temp

* 28 – 30k Basic when you go on to Salary + overtime and CO Rota.

* Ongoing contract with potentially long term work available

The position will predominantly be in and around the Luton area.

Required Qualifications

* Be qualified to NVQ level 3 with 17th Edition

* Test & Inspection 2392 / 2391 or 2394/5 would be advantageous or show a good knowledge
