Accountant (8 Month Contract)

My client, a very established and well though of business is looking for an experienced Accountant to cover an 8 Month Maternity Leave Contract. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a very well respected business as part of a busy finance office.

Salary: Circa £30,000

Location: Cardiff City Centre

Duration: 8 Month Contract

Interview: Friday 20th March

Start Date: Mid April

Reporting: The General Manager, Regional Financial Controller and Group financial Controller

Key Responsibilities:

Preparation of monthly management accounts including Profit and Loss Account, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow
Preparation and posting of accruals/prepayments, debtors, creditors, cash/ bank, net wages, gift vouchers and other month end balance sheet reconciliations
Ensure other revenues are accounted for correctly
Preparation of weekly financial reports:
Monthly management accounts
Cashflow
Flash report
Weekly Actual
Friday PBI
Debtors Report
Purchasing Template
PayproSystems/Procedures

Income Auditing
Payroll
Cash/Bank Control
Accounts Receivable
Accounts PayableResources

Provide guidance and training to all managers and staff on all procedures including cash, purchasing, debt collection etc to ensure strict adherence to financial controls
Ensure compliance with all departmental/company procedures
Work closely with team to ensure understanding of departmental financial reporting, wage %, GPs and P&Ls
