Bid Manager
V-Recruit are recruiting an experienced Bid Manager on behalf of a global Business Process Management (BPM) organisation.

The Role
As Bid Manager, you will be responsible for managing bids in response to Request for Proposals (RFPs), Request for Information’s (RFIs) and proactive proposals from existing and prospective clients.
The primary role of the bid manager is to mobilise a winning bid team to ensure all deadlines are met to meet client prescribed opportunity timelines. Working as part of the sales and marketing team within the company, the role incorporates bid management, bid writing, and bid process continuous improvement.
The Bid Manager will be required to manage bids/re-tenders independently and/or work as part of a larger bid team for complex opportunities. The scope is primarily UK contact centre within the public sector, but also includes offshore and digitally led opportunities.
Documentation will include, but is not limited to; Request for Information, Request for Proposals/ Invitation to Tenders, Presentations, and all other supporting collateral and on occasion schedule creation.
Key Accountabilities
1: Ensuring high quality, compliant proposals are submitted on time
· Own bid timeline management from qualification to contract award
· Manage/provide input into the Value Proposition/ Strategy and Solution Development, Commercial Considerations and Risk Management
· Follow all required bid procedures, governance, and processes
· Schedule and run kick off meetings, storyboard sessions and other workshops/meetings as required with internal stakeholders, clients, or company partners
· Facilitate key review meetings, document reviews, governance and sign off, document production and delivery
· Complete effective bid planning and documentation throughout the bid process
· Manage, review, and edit inputs from multiple stakeholders; internal and external
· Own client clarification process, submitting and distributing clarification questions internally
· Manage portals if required
2: Bids meet company standards
· Document creation and formatting; mainly word, power-point in line with company templates
· Where required, content sourcing / tailored writing across company resources
· Working with graphics team to create compelling graphics on a bid-by-bid basis
· Effective use of content management system
· Ensure all meeting notes and actions are captured and distributed to the bid team using agreed methodology and systems
3: CI
· Delivering Bid CI projects agreed with Head of Bids/Solutions
· Coach sales teams, SMEs in bid practice
· Arrange and record Post Bid Review Meetings/Lessons Learnt
· Identifying and saving good content to SharePoint/Content Library
· Working with local and international teams to identify good content for bids
· Keep up to date on the market and best practice bid governance
Qualifications & Experience
· Degree educated ideally with APMP qualification and experience working in outsourced contact centre bid management (5 years plus)
· Proven ability in planning, producing, and delivering compliant proposals within a complex business environment for both public and commercial sector
· Experience working in a solution-based sales environment
· Experience updating content management system
· Good standard of written and spoken English
· Fully conversant with competitor marketplace
· Running successful virtual bid teams, UK, and ideally other geographies e.g., offshore
· Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word
