DevOps Engineer with strong Azure required to join the Digital Solutions team of this global professional services provider based in central London.
The team designs and builds innovative digital products to satisfy complex requirements, working with Developers and IT staff to oversee code releases. You will create and implement systems software, analyse data and increase productivity of the workplace.
Must have a strong Azure background, an understanding of the SDLC and worked with various automation tools for developing digital (CI/CD) pipelines.
Salary: To £65K plus bonus plus benefits
Location: London Bridge – you will be required to go to the office – they are currently doing a day a week.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- We are seeking a DevOps Engineer who will contribute to the further development of the hosting platform used by engineers to build the next generation of products and services.
- Improve the existing CI/CD pipelines and delivery processes.
- Assist engineers in creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions and demonstrating them to other members of the team.
- Provide clear goals for infrastructure improvements and develop steps to oversee their timely execution.
- Work closely with engineering professionals to maintain hardware and software needed for projects to be completed efficiently.
- Collaborate with architecture, data science and software development teams regarding solution delivery on cloud solutions.
- Main contributor to the automation framework for cloud solutions.
- Deliver cloud foundational components like databases, logic apps, application gateways, compute, network, storage, backup, disaster recovery, etc.
- Deliver cloud solutions across Azure for PaaS and IaaS services.
- Recognized as the subject matter expert and consultant on the design and implementation of all cloud services and technologies, including best practices.
- Provide innovative technical guidance and direction to all levels within cloud engineering services.
- Investigate and recommend new cloud solutions needed for new projects, improving cloud services maturity, and increasing cloud adoption.
- Primary contributor for developing scripts for automating the build, configuration, and implementation of Azure IaC, PaaS and related solutions.
- Primary contributor for developing and maintaining all cloud infrastructure and assets in Azure as well as coexistence / hybrid environments.
- Primary contributor for developing scripts for automating the build and deployment of application code.
Requirements
- Significant, recent and relevant experience in Azure cloud technology engineering and administration. Any AWS or GCP a bonus.
- Big focus on automation, scripting IaC, cloud orchestration.
- Detailed knowledge of migrating/implementing solutions into cloud infrastructure (Azure platform, with accreditation preferable).
- Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GIT, Bitbucket, Repositories, Chef, Ansible, TeamCity, Octopus, Azure DevOps, etc.
- Experience of working in a DevOps and/or SecOps Engineer role is key, including the deployment of pipelines/solutions.
- Azure, MS 365 bespoke solution deployment at scale.
- Azure DevOps Continuous Integration (CI) distributed setup and management.
- Virtual infrastructure chief, provisioning and management in Azure & Azure Cloud Security.
- Knowledge with common development languages such as.Net, Java, C# along with tools sets such as Microsoft Azure DevOps Server, Visual Studio, Eclipse or other similar tools.
- Web hosting expert with Azure App Service/IIS inc. ASP/NET, PHP.
- NoSQL databases and search engines (Elasticsearch).
- Container management and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS).
- Configuring Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Cloudformation, Crossplane).
- Ability to create architectural and design solutions in support of systems creation and rollout.
- Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills and strong ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
