Area Manager – Europe

Description:

– Overall accountability for and supervision of Outside and Inside Sales, Service, Rental and Warehouse functions and personnel with regards to entire region mentioned above.
– Develop and deliver the strategy of the group in order to drive profitable growth to NOV and the Well Service division of the WISE group
– Drive a team of District Manager(s), Outside and Inside Sales Personnel, Service Personnel and Warehouse personnel in order to deliver HSE, financial and personnel development goals.
– Operate an effective inventory management system to ensure an appropriate turn rate and inventory balance.
– Work closely with other regional managers to develop stocking strategies as required.
– Development of appropriate metrics to effectively measure the group under direct control.
– Development of the team members and to provide a career path and appropriate mentoring.
– Ensure the VP & GM is informed of client needs and changes within the business.
– Monthly, quarterly and yearly forecasting accuracy and reporting.
– Operate within budgeted expense requirements.
– Manage effective recruitment and / or replacement of additional staff as required to meet business demand.

Requirements:

– Business or Engineering degree from an accredited university (or equivalent), coupled with relevant experience managing a sales & service group.
– Excellent personnel management skills.
– Ability to effectively motivate and develop a team.
– Ability to work under pressure and accept responsibility.
– Ability to hold people accountable when required
