Health and Safety Manager

Salary: £42,000 – £48,000 per year

A high-end jewellery company is looking to hire a Health and Safety manager to oversee the team’s well-being within the warehouse. This eCommerce Business has had tremendous growth since its launch in 2007 and is renowned for providing the women’s jewellery market with outstanding services. The successful applicant will work at a brand-new site and be responsible for making sure that everyone on the team understands their responsibilities regarding health, safety, and environmental obligations. The ideal candidate must have experience in a Warehouse Environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Implement a robust Health and Safety procedure, and carry out regular reviews of the guidelines
• Communicate with other Warehouse Managers and Supervisors in ensuring all safety guidelines and plans are adhered to.
• Carry out regular risk assessment checks within the warehouse and identify any potential hazards
• Lead regular Training sessions with Warehouse staff are making sure they adhere to the guidelines
• Produce accurate reports to the Operations manager outlining any insights and actions that are needed.

Experience Required

• IOSH OR NEBOSH qualification is preferred but not essential.
• Extensive knowledge of Health and Safety procedures within the Logistics Environment
• Great Attention to detail and experience in overseeing a team’s safety
• Track record of overseeing a team, and having the ability to organise a plan
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to take a creative approach in dealing with problems.
