Salary: £36,000 – £42,000 per year
This successful and growing Audio Visual technology company based in Hampshire (EMEA HQ) is now looking for a highly skilled Test and Commissioning Engineer to join their installation team.
The role involves testing and commissioning integrated AV & VC systems, including trouble shooting.
You should have at least a years experience in a similar role.
Duties Include:
Equipment rack/shop test
o Perform point to point testing of offsite equipment and customer wiring (power, data, audio, video and control cabling)
o Perform system test asper schematics (ibc DSP code loading, control code loading (or creating test code), manipulation of all devices to ensure full performance as per schematics
Site based system commissioning
o Perform handover from installation team to ensure all information is captured regarding the project and its current status
o Test and repair site based termination faults
o Be aware of power loading of site equipment and its BTU output
o Configure VC systems
o DSP code loading or test code creation
o Ability to manipulate DSP code to suit room acoustics and customer requirement
o Ability to manipulate control code to suit site condition and customer requirement
General Duties
o Able to understand project scope of works and hoe this addresses the client’s needs
o Always be client facing, professional and positive attitude
o Communicate with engineering and service teams effectively
o Mentor less experienced technicians
o Responsible for project documentation
Qualifications
Ideal candidate should possess a number of the following qualifications
o Polycom – video and voice
o Cisco – video
o Inforcomm Certified Technical Specialist (CTS)
o Crestron DMC-E
o Relevant DSP Training (eg Biamp, Clearone, SoundStructure)
o Crestron CTI-P101 Foundations of Crestron Programming
o AMX ACE
o Extron AV Associate
