As a Product Design Engineer there’s not greater feeling than your product coming to life and being manufactured. This role offers the chance to do, not just that, but direct the whole product portfolio, so if you’re a creative mechanical design engineer with leadership ambition, or even an established Design Manager this one is for you.

Our client is a small but well recognised manufacturing business designing and manufacturing technology led products for the built environment. Their products take pride of place in many an establishment and have a long heritage of being functionally robust and high quality, and over recent years, stylish and aesthetically pleasing too.

The Candidate | What Are We Looking For?

This role will lead the product design team, working on both next gen products and current portfolio product development improvements. To be well positioned for this role you should have the following:

* A good knowledge of design for manufacture in sheet metal fabrication, precision engineered components, injection moulding and assembly.

* A flair for product design, from ideation, through sketch and into manufacture.

* Knowledge of, or a desire to learn about electrical schematics and electronic engineering (the clever part of the product).

* Leadership experience or potential.
