If you have the relevant qualifications, experienced in periodic Testing, Inspection, EICR reporting and happy to do all remedial work then this is could be the ideal career move for you… the essential criteria is as follows..

1) City and Guilds Qualified, to include C&G 2360 parts 1 & 2 or 2330 parts
1,2 & 3 plus 2391 minimum and 17th Edition.
2) Extensive industrial 5 year/periodic testing and EICR reporting.
3) Ability to work quickly and accurately representing the company visiting
commercial premises
4) Prepared for lots of travel and nights away from home (expenses paid)
5) Part of the interview you will be required to show your testing
experience on a mocked up board.
6) A driving licence with no more than 6 points is essential
7) Fire alarm and emergency lighting experience/training

The role in a Nut Shell..

You will need to be able to stand on your own feet make decisions and be an
organised good planner. In addition to being a qualified Electrician and
Periodic tester you will need to be good with paper work as often your work
will involve, visiting an installation and then preparing quotations and
completion of all compliance paperwork.. whilst the systems are as simple as
they can be you need to be the sort of person who keeps on top of the
paperwork daily rather than leaving it all to the end of the week. The
bonus would be in the region of £6,000 to £9,000 per year on top of a
£24,000 basic, a (Connect size) Van, Tester and ongoing training and support
if needed. A typical day could be out at 7am and not back until 5.30/6pm
visiting probably a maximum of 3 or 4 customers per day. For those who wish to you
can join a club to work additional hours on a Saturday or Sunday if you want
to boost your earnings even further but this is of course optional. The
company was established in 1992 and has grown steadily to over 100 staff yet
is still run as a family business in the way the staff whether Office,
Apprentice, Engineers or Directors they all get on well together and can
talk to each other at any time. I have never recruited a Manager for them as
they always promote from within if you are looking for a real career where
a little extra effort is highly rewarded this could be the job for you.

The Vacancy is as Follows…

£24000 – £30000/annum c£24K Basic (£30K open ended OTE)

The Person… to secure this role you will need to have the following
qualifications C&G 2360 parts 1 & 2 or 2330 parts 1,2 & 3 plus 2391 minimum
along with practical experience of periodic test and inspection.. you will need
to be happy in a role which involves lots of travel and often frequent overnight
staying away. You will also need to be able to demonstrate a successful track
record of employment not flitting from contract to contract or job to job.
Above all you must be an honest, hard working, money motivated individual who
understands the value of customer satisfaction.

The role Test and Inspection (typically) 5 yearly periodic tests within commercial
premises, EICR reporting, following up with reports and proposals and carrying out any remedial work.
The role would suit someone who enjoys travelling and flexible to stay away from home
as and when required but where possible jobs would be all near to each other therefore
you would often be able to get back home in the evening. You will receive a company vehicle
and all business expenses will be covered.

The Package.. £38,400(open ended) on target annual earnings including c.£26,000 basic
flexible Company vehicle, PDA, testing equipment and uniform provided. You will also receive
a £500 per guarantee in the first few months whilst Training/finding your feet.
