Our client offers a range of waste management and specialised industrial services to meet the requirement of government agencies, local authorities, public utilities, national and multinational companies. As a result of their continued success they are looking to hire a Chemist to work as an Analyst at their site in Kirkby.

Working as part of a small laboratory team your role will include:

Ø Analytical testing using ICP, GC and XRF
Ø Ammonia testing
Ø Compatibility testing
Ø Acidity testing
Ø Completion of analysis sheets
Ø Data entry of sheets

This role will be based out of doors, in all weathers and will include some physical labour e.g. lifting up to 25Kg.

Requirements:

Ø A Degree level qualification or equivalent in Chemistry (HNC/HND etc.) or relevant science subject.
Ø Previous analytical experience
Ø Willingness to learn
Ø Eligibility to work within the UK

This role will involve working a shift pattern of 06:00 -14:00 and 14:00 – 10:00, as well as Saturday mornings once or twice per month are also worked for which overtime is paid.
