POSITION: Maintenance Labourer (nights)

LOCATION: Heathrow Airport, Greater London (TW6)

HOURS OPF WORK: Night shifts from Sunday till Thursday (45 hours per week)

Duration: Temporary to permanent role (3 month probation)

Salary: £26,000per year/annum (temp rate to reflect agreed salary)

KEY DUTIES:
To Assist the Flooring Technician/Tilers working on a very large commercial area.
This will consist of reactive repairs, planned preventative maintenance and also some planned flooring projects across the airports terminals, staff areas etc.
The right candidate would have some manual work experience and previous flooring experience would be benefical but not essential.
The candidate would be expected to assist where needed providing a hand-on approach to help get jobs done within a given timeframe
The candidate must be willing to learn from their team and work well within a team
This role has some heavy lifting involved
Reporting any health and safety issues using Carillion’s ‘Don’t Walk By’ procedure
Role to include some customer service

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
No direct qualifications required but it is preferred that the candidate has some experience in either construction, facilities maintenance or manual labouring
Any further qualifications, training etc. in areas such as health and safety, manual handling, maintenance related trades, fire safety, first aid etc. would be highly beneficial to this post.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
The right candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to provide a good level of customer service. A large portion of the role will be working around members of the public in a very busy environment
Also this is a very client focused environment, the candidate must be confident in building relationships with the senior facilities/maintenance staff
Must be presentable at all times
The right candidate would have an enthusiastic approach to learning new skills and be able to pick these skills up quickly

OTHER INFOMATION
ALL candidates will need to pass a standard DBS check (formally CRB accurate background check) and provide 5 years of work history/reference details to achieve an airside security clearance pass.

Interview by assessment which will require technical knowledge and experience in laying flooring on a commercial scale

Full PPE will be required and can be provided
Full site induction given upon start
Any successful candidate would need to complete a registration process with SkyBlue Solutions prior to start and present Right to Work documentation
