El / Pl Solicitor

Salary: £30,000 – £54,000 per year

Their continued growth means that we are looking to find an additional EL/PL RTA Fee Earner -someone who has not just the experience but has a real proactive and positive approach to their work, their clients and their colleagues.

Someone with a dynamic approach with flair and aspirations to develop their career.

You will need at least 2 years experience able to handle litigated contentious cases with knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules. You will also enjoy researching new legal topics and be confident instructing and working alongside counsel.

You will also appreciate working with cutting edge IT.

Day to day you will be:

* Assuming conduct of Holiday sickness and EL/PL cases

* Risk assessing cases for litigation

* Investigating liability and assessing quantum of claim

* Thorough investigation and risk assessment of new claims

* Drafting and issuing of legal proceedings

* Conduct of litigation to fast track and multi track trial

* Providing effective and considered legal advice

* Conducting legal research where necessary

* Effectively negotiating with opposing representatives on all matters to achieve the best possible outcome.

* Advocating for the client in Hearings.

* Implementing and enforcing any agreement reached, including costs.

* Instructions to and conferences with Counsel

* To oversee and supervise the work of the Trainee Solicitors, Legal Apprentices and PA’s

* Ensure daily that DPA, GDPR, SRA and ISO27001 requirements and standards are met and maintained in line with said policies and procedures

* To manage appropriately and breaches in line with company, regulatory, legislative requirements involving appropriate stakeholders where necessary

The Bonus earnings here are outstanding – top earners are achieving £20,000 – and bonus is uncapped so it is up to you and your expertise how much you can earn here.

You can have a mix of working from home and the office – you can do up to 4 days from home once you have passed your 3 month probabtion.
